Our journey began with a culinary experimentation by our founder, Justin Selk. While he was running the kitchen of a Michelin-starred restaurant, Justin began puffing beef tendon for a dish.

He eventually honed a technique that delivered the perfect crispy and savory bite. Though the puffed beef was just one element of the dish, diners responded overwhelmingly positively. This sparked the inspiration for SohCrisp—a snack that pushes the limits of flavor depth.

our story

The name “SohCrisp” is a nod to the co-founder, Eunice Han, who is Korean-American.

“Soh” or “소” translates to “cow” in Korean, and the symbol can be found within the logo as well.

Given that beef tendon is more common in Asian culinary traditions, Justin and Eunice felt it was only fitting for the product to honor Korean culture.
